“It takes a family to care for a family.”

The Care Ministry at Shenandoah is one of the most important ministries at our church.  Caring for one another shows our love for each other and helps us demonstrate God’s love to the world around us.

In order to better care for the family, the following care teams are being implemented.  Please review and prayerfully consider how God is calling you to help care for the Shenandoah family.

VISIT TEAM - IMMEDIATE
Some care needs require immediate attention.  Members of this team should be available to make visits on short notice, ideally in four hours or less.  Requests for this Care Team will usually come through the Church Office or a Pastor.  Team members will receive training on how to respond to emergency care needs.

VISIT TEAM - NON-IMMEDIATE
This team may encounter a variety of situations, such as visits to the hospital, members needing to talk about their salvation or friends of family members, etc.  Team members should be comfortable praying with those they are caring for and provide spiritual encouragement.

PRAYER TEAM
Prayer Team participants will receive requests via email.  Requests may include focused prayer and sometimes urgent or immediate prayer needs.

MOVING COORDINATION & REPAIR ADVISORY TEAM
The Moving Coordination & Repair Advisory Team will assist those who request assistance moving and in “what to do and who to trust” for repairs on their home. The team will assist throughout the project to give members, who don’t have knowledge in this area, the confidence that the project is going as planned to the best of our abilities.

CARD TEAM
This team is open to all SBC members who desire to serve.  The Card Team will be notified by the Prayer and Visit Teams of those within our church family in need of encouragement.

MEAL TEAM
Typically, the LifeGroup will meet the meal needs of its members.  However, there are times when the needs exceed a LifeGroup’s ability or the church member isn't a part of a LifeGroup.  In these situations, Meal Team members will be notified for assistance.

TRANSPORTATION TEAM
The Transport Team will assist church members on a limited basis with their transportation needs.  This may include doctor visits and any other local non-emergency transportation needs.  Team members should have a flexible schedule and a reliable vehicle.

Please call the church office to express your interest in specific teams.
